I was very blessed to be able to start hunting and fishing at a very young age.  I was fortunate to have family members that hunted.  At that time trophy hunting wasn't a big sport, it was more about filling the freezer.  I can remember my Grandfather being a very avid houndsman, he was always out hunting foxes, coyotes and coons with his hounds.  My Grandfather would take me deer and squirrel hunting as often as his schedule and seasons would permit.  My father was a big meat hunter and allowed me to hunt with him starting when I was about 4 years old.  After my Grandfather's death, my Grandmother took his place.  She taught me how to clean fish, turkey, and quarter a deer.  She also allowed me to hone in my spot and stalk skills.  My Grandparents had a large ranch with several hundreds of acres.  Every evening my Grandmother and I would walk thru the wooded pastures with a single shot .22 hunting rabbits, squirrels, armadillos, and other small game.  During the deer season or while fishing she would always take me out and sit in a chair and crochet or read her bible.  Having positive roll models in my life kept me on the track to becoming a very successful hunter.  See, I learned not to hunt for horns, but to hunt for food for the dinner table.  I took my first deer, a doe, at the age of 11 with a old Stevens Bolt action 30-30 that belong to my Grandfather.  At the age of 12 I took my first buck a 21 point non Typical.  From that point on I was hooked and have been blessed to take numerous record book animals including a State Record bow kill.  I knew that hunting was my life and over 10 years ago I started H & H Hunt'n, a full service hunting guide and outfitters service.  H & H has been a testament to my passion for hunting as I have been featured in the New York Times, The Dallas Morning News, The Washington Post. The Corpus Caller. and numerous hunting magazines and radio shows..  I have hunted with clients from all over the world and try to specialize in Parent/Child hunts.  I then started Hunters 4 Christ, an organization that donates all of the proceeds to charitable organizations.  Later came Bulls Bucks N Bears and Huntnleases.com.   As time has past I spend most of my time hunting with one of my favorite hunting partners my son Michael.
Sonia Hendrick

Sonia is the backbone of my craziness, if it wasn't for her taking care of things for me when I am out in the woods I would be in big trouble.  Sonia loves to fish and enjoys shooting skeet more than big game hunting. The more she is out in field with Michael and I, the more she has started to enjoy the fellowship we share during the hunts.  The moral support she gives Michael is bar none.  Out of all of the big game animals her true trophy would be a monster Aoudad.  As she is building up the courage and desire to learn more about hunting it helps builds unforgettable bonds and memories between all of us. In 2006 Sonia went along with Michael on his first bow hunt.  What an awesome experience for the both of them.
Michael J. Hendrick

For being only 10 years old Michael is a very avid hunter.  Michael has several animals in the record books, at the age of 5 he took his first big game animals including a 9 foot alligator.  Michael would rather watch a good hunting show on television or be hunting birds or squirrels with his pellet gun than playing a video game.  Michael started shooting a bow at the age of 7 and has worked hard for several years to get the proper form and where he could pull back the legal poundage to hunt.  2006 was the year he accomplished that goal.  He has been avidly hunting whitetail but hasn't had any come into his range.  In late December a 125 wild hog made that fatal mistake and Michael let an arrow loose and took his first critter with a bow.  He was happier with that than he was his first Whitetail buck with a rifle.  Michael continues to learn and strive to be the best hunter he can.  Later in 2007 he will go on his first bear, elk, and pronghorn hunt.
